The Millennium Insurance Group and Associated Industries Mutual Insurance Company Municipality Workers' Compensation Program

January 2003 - Millennium Insurance Group is pleased to announce its partnership with Key Risk Management Services, Inc. has proven to be a success. Independent insurance agents of North Carolina will continue to be able to submit workers' compensation applications to Millennium on cities and towns with less than 50,000 in population. This program has strict underwriting guidelines that require completed Acord applications, three years currently valued loss runs and a completed Supplemental application. Accepted accounts will receive a quote through Associated Industries Mutual Insurance Company (AIMCO), with all of the services provided by Key Risk Management Services, Inc. (KRMS). As has been previously announced, effective January 1, 2003, the NORTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES WORKERS COMPENSATION FUND was approved by the North Carolina Department of Insurance for conversion to non-assessable, mutual insurance company. Bob Biggerstaff, founder of KRMS, is president of AIMCO. The NCAI FUND ended the 2001 year with a statutory surplus of over $14.6 million.

KRMS has been assisting North Carolina employers in controlling the costs associated with their workers' compensation program for over 16-years. Proactive Loss Control and Aggressive Claims Management are value-added services provided to all Key Risk clients. Each account is assigned a Loss Control Specialist and a dedicated Claims Adjuster. With claims offices in Greensboro and Raleigh, and Nurse Case Managers throughout the state, the Key Risk Claims Team ensures proper care for injured employees. They work with employers to direct injured employees to medical providers in the CompCare Network, a preferred network of occupational medicine specialists. Employers and agents may also obtain up-to-date claims information on-line through Key Risk Plaza.
